Funny too how our taste changes. Early on I didn't want my quilts to look like my grandmother's. I wanted them to stay puffier and new looking...turn the calendar pages...now I really like the antique look so don't use the polyester batting anymore.

In our area you can still buy polyester batting at upholstry shops.

I've never pre washed batting. My quilts turn out just fine with the Warm and Natural batting. I may try washing a sample size and see how it turns out. scary stuff huh?
