Re: Continuous Prairie Points
Thanks for the links, Evie... I printed them off to use on a quilt that I needed to finish the binding on. Have been at the point of the binding for about a week now and this seems to have been the reason why. I will just set this quilt off.

Re: Continuous Prairie Points
I've made prairie points the one at a time way but this method of continuous prairie points is way better for me. The only con is the prairie points aren't different colors in a run.

Re: Continuous Prairie Points
Got my prairie points sewn onto the quilt last week-end. Will get pic taken this week-end to post. I love the look. I did the individual method and it went together quite nicely/easily for me. I do think though next time I do this it would be easier to sew the points onto the top before quilting so you don't have to worry about possibly catching the batting/back while sewing and it's not as bulky then.

OOPS! Clearly I have not been checking this topic often enough...<guilt, guilt>
Ladies, I should NOT have shot my mouth off and said I would post the instructions for making prairie points BEFORE looking at them! They are pretty extensive, and you really need to look at a picture for it to make sense. My especial apologies to JudyWoo and Joanne <hanging head> both of whom asked me to post them...
I'm sorry!!!
I heartily recommend the book "The Quilters Ultimate Visual Guide", edited by Ellen Pahl and published by Rodale. That's how I learned to make prairie points, Decatur knots, and hanging sleeves...and there's a lot more I haven't even tried yet!
