Points in the center...
I have a problem with the center of a quilt. I'm putting together 8 points in the center of a quilt and there is something off a little. One of the points is not willing to play nice. I put one half together and then the other half of the 8 pieces and on one side one of the pieces is a little more than 1/4" off. This make it impossible to sew the two pieces together.
Maybe someone else has had this problem and can offer me some advice?

Pam, wish I had the answer...but don't. Do know how frustrating it is when they don't go together right. Maybe if you post a photo here, it would be helpful when giving suggestions.

Pam, do you use a 1/4" foot when sewing? I know when I got my new foot, my corners and points turned out much better. Also, is it possible to trim any of the excess seam allowance away? It adds so much bulk when 8 come together.

Thank you ladies. I do use a 1/4" foot and you're right, it makes it easier. I have a photo in my camera, but I have to wait until my grandson comes in order to get it out of there.
I got the center put together and it looks o.k. but I had to unsew the center and I basted it by hand until I got it where it needed to be, then I went to the machine with it. That was too much work, and I'm sure that I did something early on in the process to have it off line.
Again, thank you and when I get the photo, I'll post it.
