basting

Post by khowardquilts » Thu Jun 18, 2009 2:04 pm

I have a quilt laid out to baste. It is queen size. I'm thinking of using a diagonal basting stitch I saw used in a video to suppliment the pins. I don't have enough I'm sure. I, also, don't have room to spread all the quilt out at once. Wish me luck.

I am wishing you luck Kathy! I basted and pinned my first few quilt tops then read on the forum about the 505 Basting Spray and now I just spray baste. I can do lap size on my own but need my DH to help with anything bigger. I like the spray a lot but know that everyone has their own way of doing things. That is what makes quilting so great!
