Re: New piecing method for Pineapple Log Cabin
The pineapple block is one of my favorites and I did it back in the late 1980's using this method without paper. The directions were in Better Homes and Gardens "American Patchwork & Quilting" book of which I still have. Its a neat way to do it. I also have two other books on how to do the pineapple block. When I went to Paducah Quilt Show in the late 90's the Museum there, featured the Pineapple Quilts. It was great. Marge

Re: New piecing method for Pineapple Log Cabin
I made a Pineapple quilt using the QIAD book and DVD and it turned out really well. I haven't gotten around to posting a pic of it yet, though. It was soooo much easier than I thought it'd be, and it was a lot of fun to make, too. The most important thing is to cut and measure accurately. One tip: when you mark the center 4-patch with chalk or pencil, etc... make sure it is the kind that isn't "set" by heat because you'll do a lot of pressing with this.
