Re: I'm tying to figure how to qulit
My suggestion is to watch the DVD and follow it in the book at the same time. This way you can see how and why everything is cut and sewn together the way it is. Sit down, take a big breath and relax and watch and learn.
If this doesn't help, someone else on here may be able to help you more.....I'm pretty new at this myself but a lot of the people on here are very good at helping new people to get started.
Good luck!

If it's the QIAD Log Cabin book, just follow the detailed instructions. I haven't seen the DVD with it, but if you watch it a time or two, I'll bet you will understand! Eleanor Burns writes THE BEST directions!! Good luck and HAVE FUN with it!

OK I didn't read your question very well. There are many layout pattern in the log cabin book. You will need to lay them out according to the size quilt you are making. Eleanor will show you how to sew them together in the book. I made this quilt as one of my first quilts I was amazed by how she sews everthing together. I lay my blocks on the kitchen floor.

Re: I'm tying to figure how to qulit
Greetings, godlyQuilter! So your blocks are done? Wow! Good job! I like to lay all my blocks out on our king-sized bed, or on the floor (after I put the dog out back!). I rearrange the blocks to find the larger pattern I like best.
Then I flip and stack them the QIAD way, and I will pin them to keep pairs and rows together. I put a pin on the seam line to keep track of where I am supposed to stitch. I also pin little scraps of paper on to label the stacks so they won't get out of order.
This method has only failed to work ONCE in almost 4 years of quilting, and it was the executor [me] who messed up, not the method itself! LOL
