Baby Quilts
I have all the blocks cut and ready to start on the Northern Star Quilt only to find out I have a good friend having a baby. Does anyong have any websites for "simple" baby quilts. I was wondering about a fat quarter baby quilt. Thanks!

Re: Baby Quilts
QIAD Tossed Nine Patch goes together real fast and it takes 5" charms. I did one for my oldest son's girlfriend and backed it with pink minkee.
Baby Log Cabin with a fussy cut center goes together real fast. Also, I made my son a split rail fence quilt. Did stitch in the ditch on the rails and a large meander on the border and backed with Minkee.
Check here for the tossed 9 patch:

Re: Baby Quilts
a 4 or 9 patch next to a theme fabric is quick. Also El's "Nine-Patch Party Quilt" from Still Strippin book would be quick and nice in pastels.
Have Fun,

"Turning Twenty Around the Block," Book 3 by Tricia Cribbs, available from QIAD, has a delightful babyquilt made from FQs. The pattern for the quilt also has a pattern for a matching tote bag that would be really cute to make to go with the quilt. carol/kittyquilt

Here's another website:
http://www.ufo-rphanage.com/quick_quilt ... ilts.shtml
For the log cabin, find a novelty print you like and fussy cut it to 4 1/2" square and use it as your center block. Then continue on as a regular log cabin, you would just have one less round is all. We did something similar for Amie (QuilterBee) when she asked for blocks to make 3 quilts for a family that lost a loved one in Iraq. They were log cabin blocks with a larger center and words of comfort written in the center block. Then 2 1/2" strips sewn around in Log Cabin style.

Oh cool! Tcbeginner - can you share where you found the Log Cabin baby quilt? I found out that we know of two babies on the way and one that made his entrance on Christmas Day! Thanks!

Here is the design I plan to use -

Can anyone help with binding? I've started a few "simple" projects and I'm scared to bind them...as I have stated before I'm totally new to all this. THANKS!
