Thank you for your participation in expressing our Sympathy to El in our 'Hearts Around the World' project.

I messed up and put it in the box I sent to Linda for the church. She said she would pass it on to El but maybe she can hold it and add to the rest?

sorry ;-(

(((Bransmom))) That's okay. It is the thought that counts, and who knows, maybe Linda can catch your Heart? Besides that, El is a smart cookie, once she receives all the hearts, I'm sure she'll know that your heart is part of the 'Hearts Around the World'. Either way, your heart will bring her comfort.

Mine will be in tomorrows mail.... I sure wish I was better at binding the mitered corners.....

I quit squaring it off because I was afraid it would end up being about 2 inches square....

((Chriss)) I'm sure it'll look just fine.

For the ones that have trouble binding, you can cut the batting same size as block (quilt). Keep backing 1/2" larger then block/batting (quilt).

Fold excess back in half (raw edge of backing meeting raw edge of block/batting). Place the folded edge of backing over the block (Top and Bottom). Machine stitch in place.

Repeat this process on the sides, tuck corners in for a mitered look and stitch in place.

Hope this helps someone.
