comfort Quilt For Michael

Hey Girls

Here's the comfort quilt for Shawn's friend Michael...
You may recognize a block in this quilt if you participated in the RWB swap a while back. Thank you to all of you who did join this one! Look at what a wonderful quilt this made!

A HUGE HUGE thank you to Tina providing the backing and doing the quilting for me. I hope to get it sent/delivered to Michael soon and hopefully will have a picture to share once he gets it.

Mary, it's beautiful! My block is Kansas Dugout, row 2-C from top left. I chose that block because our son has one of the original Kansas dugout "homes" on his farm. I use "home" loosely. It's basically a cave carved out of a mound of earth under some tree roots. I can't stand up in it, but settlers lived in their dugouts while they carved sod from the plains and made their sod houses. There is also a rock barn not too far from the dugout.
