Mary Rosebud--since I fly by the seat of my pants, I would fold the quilt and top it with the pillow. Then I would take my fabric (or a tape measure if it was handy) and wrap it around the "package". Count on seam allowances and maybe a few inches for roominess and ease of packing. Whatever it turns out are your dimensions.

I'm no help for size or pattern, I don't know how to make totes, sorry. But what Chickie says sounds good to me. I'll be putting the top together tomorrow morning, I want to see if I can get it ready for when the batting arrives, I ordered that a couple days ago. :-)

Thanks Chickie and Tina. I am going to take your advise Chickie and fly by the seat of my pants on this one as well.

I'm about half finished with the BC quilt tote. Just need to make lining and handles. Then I need to make a small pillow. We are rockin' and rollin' on this one. I want to tell each of you thank you again for your help, prayers, and caring.

Tina--beautiful job on the quilt! Mary--the tote and pillow are lovely. I know your friend will feel the love and comfort stitched in all of them. Best wishes to her as she goes through this fight!
