Cancer/Comfort Quilts PFTH Updated 5/30/2022

This project was started many years ago by MEquilter, so that as a group, we could provide a much needed quilty hug to those in need of one. Breast Cancer Pink quilts are made and given to fellow members of the group and their immediate family when needed.
Hi, We (Maryz, Chickie and I) have taken over the Comfort quilts project.
I would like to add that this will include all cancers and comfort where we can. And they need to be a generous unfinished size block. Backgrounds can be white/WOW.
This will be an ongoing project:
Blocks to choose from:
QIAD Blocks to choose from are: Log Cabin from Bears in the Woods or the same one from her other books and the free pattern Scrap 9 Patch.
Blocks from MSQC/Block are: Quatrefoil Star in Spring Vol 3 issue 2 pg 49 or here is the link to the video:

Easy Pinwheel:PLEASE USE 10" White and 10" Print to make these:

ABOVE Blocks should be a generous 12 1/2" and do not square them up, I'll do that when I start to put a quilt together.
And for anyone that wants to use 5" squares up you can always make QIAD's Tossed 9 Patch.
We will also appreciate it if you have a top laying around that you want to donate or swap blocks (enough to make a top). Average amount of backing for each quilt is 5 yards but may be able to use just 4 yards each. If you have any questions please pm me.
Colors that mix well like blue, brown, Gray for men. And pinks lavenders purples and maybe yellow for women. All White/WOW backgrounds.
What I will need:
Help with backing, sashing, binding for quilts and batting (these can even be in JoAnn's gift cards for me to pick up) and money for postage will also be helpful....if you can....any help, any at all. I will keep you posted on how this project is going.
pm me if you need my address.
Comfort quilt sizes will vary as we've had donated sizes and changed the sizes to more like lap quilts so chemo patients can take them to their treatments with them for much needed hugs.
