Baby quilts given at occassion of Baptism

Hi all,
I goofed and posted this question under photos by mistake.
I have heard of churches giving quilts to new babies at the time of their baptism and it is to symbolize all the love and support that is behind the quilt for the young child and new family.
Has anyone heard of this or belonged to a group that did this?
I was wondering what they looked like, simple patches or designs or panely bright or pastel colors or religous themes. Ofcourse I was thinking of machine quilting. Just wondering what was going to be involved before I commit to something over my head.
Thanks for help, patience and support.
