Just an update:I have used up most of the donated blocks and just wanted to remind everyone if you have some rogue blocks laying around I would happily take them off your hands for my Nursing Home Lap Quilts.

We will also be visiting a home where a couple cares for unwanted children to whom they have adopted. Most are handicapped in some way. Our plan is to make these children throws as well.

Any scraps you may have that you want to get rid of are always appreciated.

I will be posting pictures soon of the most recent lap quilts we made last month:) I need to bind them and they will be ready for our April trip to the nursing home:)

Izzy, are you saying 12.5 blocks unfinished? I will see what I can find since I am sorting and packing anyway. Debbie sent me a stack of orphan blocks a while back but not sure of their sizes. If I can find them and they are the right size, I will share some with you for this project.

Sounds like a very worthy cause. God bless you for working on them. This is God's Work to get these done, HE will provide a way for you to finish it. Thank you so much for letting us help you. It is always a two-way blessing when we reach out and help others.

Would a quilt top be of any use to you? I have a top done, but don't have the time to finish it right now. How large were you making them? I could mail the top to you in a few days when I return home. Let me know please.

I have a top you can have, it's a little bigger than 36x36 but it's only a top... remind me of your address and I will send it out.

We can use any size some of the patients are up in large chairs just to be out of bed and could use larger covers. I will take what ever you feel compeled to send me. You all are awesome thank you so much they will love them I am sure:))

We plan to deliver these to the patients in Dec for Christmas presents. Our elementary sunday school class will be making deliveries )

So plenty of time to get to me to get completed:)
