Pillowcases (Travel size) for Local Shelters

Post by mequilter9158 » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:33 am

I know that we've had a wonderful response in the past to projects listed here. This one that was in our local newspaper caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone would like to help out with it. It's for travel size pillowcases that are given to children (up to age 12) that have to seek refuge with their families at local shelters. If anyone is interested in helping out with this, please pm me and I can provide you with the website. Thank you so much.

The website for this project is: test.greatpillowfight.com

You don't have to put www. in front of it in order for it to come up. It's a very worthwhile organization and benefits many of those in need, especially the innocent children. Thanks for your help with this.

I have 5 for you Maryellen. My serger just can't seem to keep going without tangling. I'm taking it back to the dealer and then I would like to get at least 5 more done for you. Until I get it back, I'll try french seams.

These are fun as they are so small. You can almost get two out of the the same yardage for the regular size. And it is using up scrap size pieces from the regular sized cases that were made last year.

Linda,

Thank you so much for your help with this. I'll be working on some tonight after the supper dishes are done, then it'll be time to cut more out. She is having an open house tomorrow and I'm hoping to be able to bring the ones that I've got completed. Thanks again!!

Received a box of 10 beautiful pillowcases last week from Oasis. They're all wonderful!
