Need help!!!
Ok all I do read the posts but I honestly don't understand the pfth. What I don't understand is how do you participate and how do you know who it's for and what to do. It seems there are a lot of projects going on are some of them ongoing?? I would love to get involved in some of them. Could someone help?

Re: Need help!!!
Sharonkl, when someone posts a project you just pm that person to find out what the project is, the time frame of the project, and who it is for. If you can participate, great. If you can't, maybe next time. The way I understand the pfth is anyone can post a request for help on a project being made to help an individual/group in need, ie Our military personnel (need love and care packages), someone is sick (cancer, depression), grieving over loss of loved one (mother, father, child, spouse), etc. Sometimes the time frame for completing and mailing blocks/material don't fit in to an individuals availabilty/finances etc. so they pass on participating, but maybe the next one there is time/finances available so they do participate.
Sorry for rambling, but hope this helps explain your question.
Anyone else...if I am wrong with my explanation, please correct me. If I left anything out, please add on what I forgot.
Mary

Mary, Looks good to me.
Not sure, but I think the pink and white blocks are ongoing and the pillowcases are ongoing. I can't remember if anyone is collecting red, white and blue blocks for QOV or similar organizations.

Sharon, has Mary answered your question? It can be a bit intimidating the first time you participate, but the warm fuzzies are quite worth it!

Re: Need help!!!
Sharon, I think once you get in you'll understand. I have lurked and read, but did not participate until we returned from Paducah this year. It seems like there has been several needed since then, but once you meet people and can put names to them, it made it a more lot more personal to me. I think I did two blocks, but then found that I can make a pretty neat label, so I have been offering that instead. I think the label is as good as a block. I have been trying to think of a way to do some ahead and just add the name and date to them as needed. Do you think that would work?

Xteacher I think your offer to do Labels is so kind & thoughtful! That is very generous. Your idea of doing some ahead should work great. Then when needed all you would have to add is the final detail.

I don't know about all the projects as I also don't know how to keep up with them. I do know that the Pillowcases for Wounded soldiers and the "Binky Brigade" is ongoing. The pillowcases are sent to me and I take them to our Blue Star Mother's meeting where they are sent out to the hospitals for the soldiers. They can be made in patriotic fabric or any of your choice.
