Terrie went to all the specialists today. They are going to do an mri on tuesday, it will be about 3-4 weeks before they will do the surgery. They will take both of her breasts or as she says, her "boobs issue". They believe the cancer is a result of the radiation she had with all her other problems and not the kind that will spread. They did suggest that she have her ovaries out when this is all done as that is one other place it attacks. She and Mike don't care as they have two wonderful boys that dr's said they would never have. When they do the surgery they will put some kind of ballons in to help stretch the skin for implants down the road. She has a very long hard road ahead of her at 33. I think I am going to tackle a yellow brick road for her. Just wanted to thank everyone here for all the prayers being sent her way, they are working I am sure.

Chrissy,
Do you want a f/q or two of pink b/c fabric that you can use for the yellow brice road quilt? I know that I'd be more than happy to send one your way and maybe others could help you with that? Let us know.

This is just such an amazing place to be. You are all wonderful. Lori wrote to me and she has an El's angels top that she has offered to finish and send me for Terrie. I was going to use the fat quarter bundle that grammiequilts sent me for a treat but now I think I will use tham for my sister and Lori has taken an enormous time and talent burden off my shoulders. Oh, that didn't sound right, making a quilt for anyone is never a burden, it is a joy. I know what it will mean so much to Terrie to know that all of you angels are behind her a thousand per cent. Maybe I could incorporate a pink block or two in with the calico's that Judi sent me but I don't want to bother anyone with sending it. Everyone here is so kind and I know you all have a lot to do. Keeps those prayers and positive thoughts coming PLEASE, they mean the world.

Terrie had a test done called a HER-2. We need the results to be negative. What the HER-2 test determines is the agressiveness of her cancer and if it is a type that is fast spreading and will travel to her lymph nodes. So, please El's Angels, pray for a negative results.Thank you so much

I think "we" El's Angels have Terrie covered as Lori had a project left that she is finishing up. I bought some pinks and greens yesterday because there are two quilts being created by all you wonderful members, and I want to contribute. I have enjoyg to encorporate some into the yellow brick road.. I bought a darling nap scrappy house from a member here a short while ago that I mailed to my sister for when the grandsons come over. So this will give me some time on hers. THey little guys are so young and always are wanting to to go nana's house. Sharon has created a quilt top for Lucas the youngest and it is going to be soooooooo fun. This being said, it allows me time to work on a nap size for Ian. He is a cars buff (aren't all boys) and also plays soccer so he should be easy. I do appreciate all the offers of fabric though. Thank you so much everyone

I just read my post and it sounded to me like after I read it that I was asking for fabrics. I am sorry, truly, it wasn't what I meant. I guess I was thinking out loud.
