Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU! I KNOW that it's a big commitment to make a complete quilt - much more time, fabric, etc. than a block. The ladies and children at the shelter will be so appreciative and SO WILL I!!

Thanks to all who are willing to do this!

Update:

I've started lap size quilt for Merryman... going to keep the pattern secret for a little while--mostly until I make sure my idea works!

I have a split-nine patch (I think that is what it is called) started, so hopefully it will be good for a pre-teen girl. I'm not real good with the free motion yet, so might just ditch-stitch. We'll see.

Mary, will look forward to seeing your creation!

Have Fun,

Oasis/Linda - Stitching in the ditch is FINE!! I'll be cheering you on as you work on it.

I have a split 9 patch on my wall right now - waiting for one more round to make it fit the bed in our RV! Wonder who'll do it??

Oh, Littlebit! They are both beautiful. How extra special that one of them is from YOUR pattern!!

How do you know how much fabric to buy/use if you do not use charm squares for the Tossed 9 Patch?

Here's what I have so far.... it's laid on out my living room floor as I am trying to get all the blocks lined up right so there aren't too many of the same together! It's El's Summer Porch, all in blues... am thinking about labeling it "Am I blue?"

BUT I am having a hard time getting them all laid out in the right direction, as you can see, so I'm still tweeking it and deciding IF I should add either red or yellow to it break up all the blue or not!

any opinions??? I'm sure open to suggestions

I like the blue!! Maybe just a narrow border of red before another border of blue? Just my 2¢ worth! It's lovely and going to make someone VERY happy, Mary!
