Saturday Sew in June 28, 2008
Good Saturday morning!!!!
I was awake WAY TOO early for me, but I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and started the binding on my black and white queen quilt. I finished it, I will post a picture later.
I will check back in after I get back from Amarillo.

Good Morning Ladies! After I get my kitchen cleaned up and the stock fed, I plan on finishing this mini-magnet. I didn't get as far as I hoped with it last night, but that is ok. I'm a little confused about the binding instructions, so I may have to make a sample.
My wonderful inlaws will be here tomorrow morning to celebrate a late Father's day. So I will need to finish up the house cleaning and laundry today, get a few food items fixed up, that way I can enjoy the day with everyone. DH is taking off for the lake today to play horseshoes, so he isn't going to be any help today. Nice to have him out of my hair on a day off, but he could have picked a better day <g>
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Happy trails, jac

Good morning ladies. We just had a short little rain shower here. Got my machine all ready to take to the hospital. SHe needs to have some work done. Haven't a clue what is wrong with her. I have a backup to use. While I am there I may have a look at a newer one. Mine are over 10 yrs old. They're identical & I want to pass them down to the twin grandgirlies 1 day. Anyhoo. Got a lot going on here ths past week and next so don't know if I will get to sew anyway. Not good stuff either. Ugh. Got to run but will pop back in later. I hope you all have a great day and have fun sewing if you get a chance.

Good morning all...
Cathy keep us posted on your what you are looking at in terms of a new machine. I have been using my daughter's little Pfaff Hobby since my machine crisis. I will be buying something this summer after the Long Beach show. My husband has been talking to the owner of the dealer of the shop I like who has ordered extra machine for the 2 local county fairs and the Long Beach Show. soooooooo.......
My daughter asked a couple of minutes ago if we would like to go to the movies with her. She wants to see WALL-E. This will be fun. The show starts in about an hour so I better go get ready. A family outing to a Disney Movie :)with our 19 year old daughter...
I also need to go buy fabric for the border of a scrappy Christmas quilt I pieced yesterday for my BIL and SIL. I bought about 10 in fabric for it and used from my stash so the fact that my BIL won't appreciate it won't bother me as much as if I would have bought fabric. My SIL will like it though

Good morning all ~ The weather is wonderful here at the beach and I have my machine set up and am about ready to roll. We have had a great time here, lots of sight seeing but today is all mine. DH is resting but may golf later today. I have some blocks to finish up and of course in our many travels this week have found some daring beach fabrics here and will be making a quilt to remember our anniversary trip to the coast. What is everyone else working on?
fabricgirl, sounds like you will have a fun filled day with DD and GKs, enjoy, hope to hear from you later.
jac, you are right, sometimes it is easier to have them out from under our feet when we have a plan to get things done.....it is nice to have alittle help too. How is your mini-magnet coming along? I have never worked on one, sounds interesting.
Cathy, hope your machine doesn't have to be gone too long and that you can find a new one you really like soon. Your twins will love having matching machines when the time comes. Do you have any special projects in the works? Hope all went well this past week and next week too. Will keep you in my prayers for good things to come your way.
Carolyn, Sounds like movie day will be a blast, enjoy. Hope to hear from you later today.
Debbie, Can't wait to see the pictures of your black and white quilt. Have a great day in Amarillo, hope to hear from you when you get back.
Off to sewing at the beach for me, check back soon....Debi

Carin, Glad to have you with us! I know how you feel, I hope to be able to block out at least one weekend day for just sewing starting in July but don't know how that will work. I really want to start working on Christmas gifts then so I am not working on them late into the night on Christmas eve like I usually am. LOL
What are you working on? Good luck today, back to the whirling machine for me for a while. Check back soon. Debi

Hi Everyone,
I managed to keep myself from leaving the house this AM to go on another shop hop! I did an inventory of all my fabric and made a list of projects to make and I have enough to keep me going for years. So today, it's project number 1 - a Yellow Brick Road with my Moda Allspace Tapestry FQ bundle. I bought the fabric well over a year ago:) I'm gonna work down the list if it kills me. LOL We're heading out to Costco now to buy a bunch of stuff we don't need and then it will be back to sewing.
Have a great day.
Michelle
