Today I'll be trying, AGAIN, to get a Twist block that is 12" square. I think I can do it if I cut the pieces a bit larger to start.

After lunch my son has a planning meeting for CISV. I'll have our 15 year old DS and 14 year old DD and get them to the meeting. The 11 year old DS and DD are going to a b-day party to see Horton Hears a Who.

We'll get back together for a late dinner and then I want nothing more than to play a game of cards with hubby and hit the sack before 11 pm.

Good Morning ladies!! Happy Memorial Week-end! Should be a pretty quite weekend here. we've been having silly memorial weekend weather -- so since it is raining (well, sprinkling), I don't plan on doing much outside. Which works out pretty good, I can stay in and sew on my bow ties. Ya'll have a great day, I'll check back in later. Happy Trails, jacquie

Good Morning!
It is a quarter to seven and only 56 degrees and raining here in Southern California. I do not remember a Memorial Day Weekend that it has rained and I have lived here all of my life. It has been raining all night sometimes quite hard. I cannnot believe the rain, however we do need it and it is quite welcomed.

I trimmed 32 HST squares last night and now have them pinned for two more bear claw blocks. I will be shopping, cleaning and sewing today.

Morning quilter7 -- our standing joke here in way northern CA, is we always get our last snowfall for the season on Memorial Day Weekend! I don't think it is going to snow here on our valley floor this weekend, but our mountains got some snow!!! When I got up this morning it was a balmy 42 degrees, slate gray skies and a welcomed sprinkle. Being in the desert, we appreciate any rains we can get!! Have a great day, happy trails, jacquie

*Smile*

And a Good Morning to ALL of You from me as well.

I woke up with another nasty head ache, but I think it is fading away I hope after I drank some real koffie.

It is raining here off and on, cold icy winds. Fireplace is on, with Pepper Dawg snoring in front of it. She has a very thick memmory foam bed in front of the fireplace.

We're still in our jammies and Jeff is playing Lord of the Rings on-line with his friends for a few hours, and I have not made up my mind yet if I'm going to be doing more chores or play with my toys. I have a desk to empty and sort through, since it hopefully will be taken out and away this weekend. I need room for my guests from Holland. :) Since I have a laptop I don't use my desk a whole lot.

I have allready recieved 7 Angel blocks. Very nice looking blocks.

I'll check back in here later.

Good morning,
I got up later then I had planned and it looks like everyone is already out and about. I am going to use Julia's machine and finish the binding on a quilt and begin my Angel Block.

Julia is at work, she started at Macy's this week. She will be working for Girl Scouts at a Day Camp this summer and working at Macy's on the weekend.

Izzy and Jeremy (her boyfriend from Boston) are in the Sequoias camping they called from Clovis yesterday where they had dinner with my nephew and his family. Jeremy loved the quillow I made for him with the Bear on it.

John is working on something, he has the door off of a couple of cabinets in the kitchen...I am afraid to ask.....the kitchen is only a couple of years old and is wonderful. I guess there was something askew with them..He is out running an errand so I guess I will find out when he gets home..

DH took kids out but I am sure they will be returning soon... since we are having yucky rainy cold weather... going to go get some sewing in before they get back home... probably work on my Sams for my 30's sampler... and hopefully a few blocks of my Victory Garden Quilt.. I have all the blocks cut and placed in separate labeled baggies so I can just pull one out at a time... with all the crumby tedious cutting done at once it is now more enjoyable...

Happy sewing to you all!!!

Stay dry my fellow Southern Californians... and anyone else stuck in the rain today!!!

Cheers!
