Sew in Saturday, May 17, 2008
Good morning angels, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I will be working on some UFOs in between laundry and moving two pianos. I have two pictures to post in the "I Have a Challenge" heading. I will be seeing you sometime during the day.

I work until 3pm, then it's home to work on sil's quilt some more. I was hoping to have all the blocks completed by the end of this weekend and then assemble them all together during the week so I can spend Memorial Day weekend quilting it. IF I am diligent (and I neglect my family sufficiently) I can still do it.

Hello! I rarely post though I follow this forum rugularly. I just had to share my excitement. I made the plunge and just got off the phone ordering my HQ16 mid-arm machine and frame. I didn't think I would ever have the courage to make the plunge. Sure hope I can learn to use it!
I'm about to leave for a block-of-the-month session and then hope to do some sewing this afternoon. Bye!

Good Morning Everyone! My baby quilt (with Minkee) is finished!! Yippee!!! The binding turned out horrible! But after being sewed 3 times, that binding isn't going anywhere!! After doing some chores, I'll get the lable made and sewn on. Not sure if the grandparents are getting it today or tomorrow, yippee it is done!
It is suppose to get hot, hot, hot here today, so I will probably being this afternoon or cleaning house (yuk).
CindyG -- how did your blanket go last night? The lady who quilted mine, says the Minkee is a piece of cake and real easy to work with. She was afraid of it in the beginning, but she really likes it now. I wish now I had had her cut the binding as part of the backing. She offered, but having never put a binding on from the backing, I opted not. Live and learn.
Have a wonderful day! Happy Trails, jacquie

Good morning everyone. ((((Wave)))))
How exciting jacquie, you will have to post pics of your setup.
I am working on getting some veggies planted and hopefully some housecleaning done.
I have not touched my machine since before I left for GA, maybe next week.

Mary- Congrats on your purchase!
Jacquie- I'm glad you are all finished with your baby blanket... I am sure the binding is fine, and it will be much loved and appreciated!
It is supposed to be hot here in San Diego also... I already have the AC on and it is only 10:00 in the morning... please pray there are no blackouts!!! I am hoping to get a lot of sewing in... my DH got up bright and early and took the little munchkins out for the day starting with breakfast... so I got up had my toast and coffee and I'm ready to knock out a bunch of projects!!! Please... please... please NO BLACKOUTS!!! A sewing machine is no good without power! LOL!
See you all later gators!!!
Cheers!

Congratulations on the new machine!!
I just ordered more fabric-the bolt stuff.
I am counting on all of you to purchase a lot of the fabric so when I get home from Colorado in a week-there will be little left!!!
I am going to miss all of you, even the holligans, and I will be away from my pc till I arrive home. I shall endure and will think of the lovely fabrics waiting at home and soon to arrive and what projects to do next.
I am off to piano lessons-it's a make up as I won't be here Tuesday.
