zfatcat - I met SFOquilter/Michelle. I'm in San Francicso and she took me to four different quilt stores today!

It was like Christmas eve for me - the fabric is so much cheaper here than in Sweden, and now with the dollar being so cheap as well, it felt like all fabrics were on super-sale! I posted a pic of the shopping in the chi chat area :-)

That's great. I hope you have room to fly it home. I usually leave at least half the suit case for fabric when we go somewhere. lol

I don't have enough room in my suitcase (or, rather, it will weigh more than allowed), so I'll buy a new one tomorrow :-)

Well that will work. lol That's so great you got to meet a forum member. The only person I've met so far is Sewcarolyn. I hope to meet a few more this year. What are you doing over in this part of the world?

I thought I've seen quilt shows out there before. Maybe they were just local shows. That's right around the corner from you. I bet you're excited. Lori

Lori. I'm here on a business trip, but "business" (which was a convention) finished yesterday and I'm not ging back until Tuesday. I decided to stay a couple of extra days in order to do some shopping. This is the first time I'm in the US since I started quilting, so I felt I just had to go to some quilt stores. We don't exactly have a lot of these where I live :-)

Lori your right it is just around the corner (or more likely over the bridges). I heard about this show a couple months ago and am very excited. Yesterday I got the catalogue in the mail and am now looking at the classes trying to decide what to sign up for. I ave posted the link in both chit chat and here tonight, so just scroll down to find the link.

The International Quilt Association is putting this event togeter. It sounds as though it will be really a world class event. Bernina will be having a fashion show also.
