Maria - I looked at the photos of your fabric. Looks like you had a very good time. Maybe you could carry the mat on the plane with you and just put it in the overhead so it would be flat.

Yes, that's a possibility. I've also thought about rolling it and stuffing the roll with clothes and put it in the siutcase. They're quite particular these days about what they let you bring onto the plane for hand luggage...

Maria, I would buy a new suitcase too if I were you!! You will have such fun making up wonderful projects with the fabrics you got here.
