Saturday March 22 Sew-In

Post by CaroleJ » Sat Mar 22, 2008 10:28 am

Helloooooo out there! Anybody sewing? I guess I'll start this week's Saturday Sew-In!

We just got done watching "101 Dalmatians" (original Disney cartoon). I need to make the girls a bit of lunch...then I have a stack of jeans and trousers to hem up this afternoon, and I'll do some laundry while I'm stitchin'.

Not quilting, but an excuse to sit on my arse with the radio blaring!

He also got a slew of otc meds like anti-daihreah, aphidophelous (SP) airborn, extra vitamins and supplements. Pepto bismal.

I went through e few napattacks while he was shopping.
We just ate Rubios lunch. I am going to take a quick nap and might try to get OUT of the house with Jeff.

Oh.....*SMILE* Jeff allready KNOWS to go fabric shopping for me while he is in India. He's staying at the radison in Dehli for 10 days.

I'll report back in later.

I'm here, too! I am in a panic to finish quilting the borders on a quilt and get it bound. Also need to make 2 desserts to take to Easter dinner at a friend's home tomorrow afternoon. I'll be in and out, but I wanted you all to know that I haven't given up on posting and hope you ALL have a very HAPPY EASTER!!

HI! I'll be off and on for the night. Need to get a quilt put together this weekend, but think I'll work on something fun first.

Just got back from an Easter Buffet. I am here for the rest of the night. I am working on Applique In A Day. I am following El's RFD TV show and doing one block a week. After this weeks - we only have one more to do. It is turning out so beautiful and I love doing it.

No plans for tomorrow - we do not have any relatives here in AZ, and our neighborhood did the Easter thing today.

It is a wonderful sunny day here and we have been out and about most of the day. I have to run to the store, out of milk and ice cream and that will never do. When I get back I am here for the evening!! Yippee!!!! I have mystery blocks, SBS and a trip around the world top for DD to work on so I can take my pick of projects for this evening. I can't wait. I want to get some cutting done tonite. Tomorrow after church and brunch I will organize all the door prizes I have gathered over the past week and a half for our retreat next weekend. The problem with this is, when you go in to beg for goodies you end up buying, too. Not a good thing.

Okay, okay, OH-KAY...so I didn't get to the laundry...but I got four pairs of kids' jeans hemmed up and off my sewing table...and I got the binding on my log cabin Christmas wreath, AND I put a patch on the knee of DD#1's jeans to stop the hole from getting any bigger. (I was kind of a wussie kid so it's fun having a girl who isn't afraid to play hard, get filthy and rip the knees out of her pants!)

Just tossed some money at DH and sent him out to buy dinner. I put a pot of rice on the stove to go with. DH and the girls will be coloring eggs after dinner; I want to finish our latest installment of the Redwall books (current bedtime read-aloud)...gotta find out what happens in the great battle, and how the villain gets his cummupence!

I may do some hand work tonight on that binding, if I can stay awake past eight-thirty!!
