Bye Cindy! See you later!

I know about that orangey pink too! I ordered a big piece to use for a border and yep! Orangey pink.

I finished putting together my split nine patch & thought I'd found the perfect material for the border. Didn't notice that it was off-white till it was all sewn on. So, one of these day's I'll take the borders off and replace them. It just doesn't look right.

LOL, my SIL had a quilt all pieced and made the mistake of asking me and MIL what we thought. She has used a funky off-white too and needed a pure white. We made her rip it out, LOL. Ok, we helped but it had to go!

I'm still upset at myself for that, usually I'm really anal about checking those things.

At the risk of sounding dumb....what chat room are you all talking about?

I just finished piecing together the center part of my first YBR quilt. It's a baby quilt size for my little boy. It's flannel and has blues, greens and browns in it with one fabric that has deer and moose on it in the snow. Also some plaids thrown in there. It's very boyish. I started choosing the fabric for my husband, then realized I had enough for a lap quilt and a baby quilt.

Now I'm going to sew on a binding for a different quilt. DH is out of town tonight so it's my own quiet time.

Hi Lynn!

THere is a chat room at www.quiltropolis.com for QIAD. If you go to that website, on the left you will see a link for "chat". Click there. You'll then have to enter a user name, click the drop down menu and go to QIAD. The password is geneva.

It's not too fast but it's kinda fun.

Thanks! The secret chat room, eh? Is it mostly used on Friday and Saturday nights? I'm all set to start stitching so I won't check it out now but will bookmark it for sure.
