I lost my great uncle and aunt...the were like grandparents...I still get upset about them as much as I do about my granny on my mom's side. That love holds them dear to my heart and I get upset with myself because I know they are in a better place. It's just that I miss them so.

Don't get upset on yourself for missing them. Especially ppl that made a great impression in our life, it is okay to *miss* them and even sometimes get teary eyed.

Tul, that would be hard. Talking about their dad would be happy and sad at the same time.

I know what you mean. The last visit I had with Mom she knew that her time was almost up & she asked me if I'd be okay with that. Even in the hospital she wanted to make sure that I wasn't alone & I had to go get DH to talk to her. I just wish that my brother would've been up there sooner so they could've talked a little. Things just happened so fast, seemed like we were in a daze. She was in a lot of pain & had so many health problems. I know she's in a much better place, but I'll always miss her.

Well is went very gradually for them to be sad and to switch more and more about the fun time they had with their Dad. Knowing that he is in a better place now, and they were left behind with the good memories. Some times I do say "I miss your Dad", and they will say "I do too some times Mama".Jeff has always been very supportive of how I've dealt with it with the boys.

The missing part is a LOT stronger in the beginning, the first few years. Always also try to keep the good memmories alife, because those memmories will give you lots of pleasure later on in life.
