9Patcg it is such rewarding to work in hospice.
I would Love to have my own house of Hospice.
Hardest part was when i worked with the childrens team. not so much the kids, they were ALL troopers, but trying to help their parents.

I will tell you, I admire people that work in the medical field...I would cry way to much. I care when I talk to kids at school about the Veterans.
Go to Quilts for Kids and read about the quilts that are made for kids and they did some for Walter Reed patients. I was crying in class with the Veterans.

So true CyberSue. It is a BIG job because you don't only care for the patient, but you 'treat' the whole family. If the end is an acceptable one, and when they go peacefully it is So nice.
But boy, I once worked with a family, there were like 4 or 5 sisters, they were all forced to communicate there with each other. each had totally different life styles. And they ALL were waiting for the money. Within 10 minutes after Mom passed, those girls were pulling each other through the whole house by their hair.

I am going to go and cut up a steak that I had frozen. DH and I ate one of them when they were fresh and they would have made good shoe leather so I am hoping since I simmered the other two that I can cut them up and put them in a pot of homemade Veg. beef soup and simmer all night that the meat will be able to be chewed. Our Labrador retriever had trouble with the leftover steak the first time and they were expensive. Oh well.
