That really must have been a very tough job.

I'm thinking of going back into Hospice nursing after I get my a handle on my own health Issues.

9P I am in South california. Can't get much more south then where I'm at.

Yeah I too hope HSMary from Sweden is doing okay. She was spending the holidays in canada. Would think she would be back by now.

My mom volunteered with Hospice...took the class about dealing with the patients. I had 2 uncles and 2 aunts (mom's oldest brother and his wife, youngest brother and youngest sister) die within 4 yrs of each other. Cancer.

I loved dealing with people and was really good with irate ones on the phone. Found several lonely people. One lady used to call me a couple of times a week to tell me that her brother was coming for supper and she would tell me what she was cooking for him. I used to get Christmas cards from people and not all of the ones that stayed in touch had gotten favorable decisions. The regulations are very rigid until you get the the Hearing and Judge levels and they have judicial authority to bend some of the regs and consider the whole picture of how the person is really functioning in life and whether they can work.

Don't you know that that state is gonna fall into the ocean? You can move to the Mtns and have an ocean view in a couple of yrs. :)
