Those quilts are beautiful. I have made several to raffle off, the one we got the most money for was a sampler. something like the UGRR. I had the amish hand quilt it, it cost a hundred dollars for them to do it but was worth it. After the cost of material and the quilting we still made over 2000.00 on it.. I suggest you start selling tickets early, maybe 3 to 6 months.. We displayed the quilt in different store fronts and the library.. You need an easy pattern if several people are working on the blocks.. I made one one time of the different crosses and had every thing cut out and pinned just to hold the pieces to gether and some appliqued them the way it was pinned and a friend of mine and my self had to do them all over.. The applique had been horrible so had to do them over.. We did make a good profit on it, but lots of extra work. So make it simple.. Your quilts are lovely, you must have some good quilters in your group. The UGRR has some nice blocks and history behind it of the settlers going out west which is a big seller.

The beauty of this years quilt is that it looks complicated but it's not. It's two simple blocks plus paper pieced sashing. We've got a couple of ladies who enjoy paper piecing who voluntered fr the sashing.

Wow that is a gorgeous pattern you designed. I hope it brings in lots of money to adopt families again this year.

I love that design - that is part of what fascinates me about quilting - that just taking simple blocks you can change the whole look just by how they are placed for a dramatic result. Good luck!
