Good luck with the sale/auction this week, Sandy. I hope you make lots of $$ and have lots of fun. I know you and your son have put a lot of work into it, I'm sure it will pay off.
If you can, post some pictures, at least let us know how it goes.

Hi Kitty, I will do that. Today I am washing a dozen pint jars-so they can be filled with honey. I also need to dig our the large roaster. Set up is at 5;15 and tomorrow I was "volunteered" to make some desserts for the meal, which precedes the auction. A lot of our friends are going and I am looking forward to it. In the middle of all of this DS2 is home with the flu. I just made jello. Tomorrow is National Quilt Day. I may celebrate that today and tomorrow!LOL- why not?

The auction is over. It did well--My quilt went for $170.00 to the mother of our Vet-and she is a dear. Jon was there earlier setting up and he heard someone talking about the quilt and wondering how I kept it so white!! The aprons brought $10 and the lap robe was 30. and the dogs were 14 and the bear 7 and the ornaments were 7 and 7 pints of honey went for $22.50 each and the last 5 went for ten.The bags brought 15 and she took them all. The grand total raised ..............drum rolll.........$17,500.00!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah. Thank you all for your time and donations.

WOW! Sandy, that was a wonderful auction! (I think your quilt should have gone for more than that though)
Do you have bee hives to get all that honey? Or just know someone who has them?
Thanks for letting us know how it went.

I got a letter as well, that was such a nice thing for them to do. Shows the "class" of that organization. Thanks, Sandy, for letting us be a help to this worth project. Blessings to you and all the FFA organization, carol/kittyquilt

Sandy, I also received a lovely letter from the FFA kids. I think what made me enjoy it so much, was I wasn't expecting it. I am so glad that they did so well.
