Pattern suggestions?
I would like some input if you don't mind -
I plan to make a quilt to take to the Paducah class for the Trunk show and then to be donated to the shelter.
I want to use one of El's patterns but not a hard one, lol. I have the Quilting Through the Seasons and the Still Stripping After 25 Years and the Underground Railroad books.
Of course I could order a new book but would prefer to order fabric instead, lol.
What is your favorite EASY quilt out of the books I have?
Thanks!
Nancy

The Gadabout quilt from Still Stripping is alot easier than it looks, and the lap size I did didn't take very long at all. It can be very dynamic, or very subtle. One of these days, I'll make another one of them.

Hi Nancy,
I have made a couple of "Fabric Gal" quilts from Still Stripping. It is quick and fun to make. Also, "Don't Fence Me In' is a quick and easy pattern that turns out pretty.
I'm sure glad you reminded me of this! I need to get busy on it too. In fact, I may use one of these patterns myself or a Quick Trip.

I'm going to do a Fabric Gal quilt for the shelter, I love that look. Just have to pull the fabric together - that's the hard part for me.
How about the Tossed 9-Patch?

I second the Tossed 9 it is fast, easy and looks great. I have now made 3 since July and all are lovely. One was an "I Spy" for my nephew's daughter and it looked fantastic.

Re: Pattern suggestions?
Thanks ladies! I went and looked through the books. I made my choice. I'm going to do "Don't Fence Me In" mainly because, to me, the name of this quilt seems so appropriate for the women in the shelter. I plan on making it in yellows and pinks.
I love that I can ask you all for input and through your help, a quilt is born! lol.
Thanks again!

I love using the Quilt Names as inspiration. Don't Fence Me In is a great choice for the project, the name that is, I will go look up the pattern.

I think you made the right choice, both with the name and the quilt. Can't wait to see a picture.
