according to a post below Ann Dease, who is either someones personal quilt teacher or A quilt teacher at QIAD recommended a quilter for this project

it went to the quilter on 7/1
Status on 7/9 it Was being "quilted"
And then on 7/27 there was not enough backing...

it also says below taht extra backing was purchased...

and now we are all updated on this quilt... guess we will need to hope for a miraclous recovery of this one to get it where it needs to be....I am as clueless as you are....

Does anyone know Ann Dease that could make a call out there to check on it? So sad the recipient doesn't have it yet.............

Hey gals...
I was told that the "quilter" is Judy Jackson. She was referred by Anne Dease. I do not know Judy Jackson. But I have met Anne she is a very nice lady that works at QIAD. I believe she teaches on Tuesday nights and maybe other nights I am not sure. Someone could probably call the store and ask for Anne and then get Judy's contact info. I have a hard time getting on the phone to carry on a conversation with my noisy boys... I seem to be a magnet as soon as I even pick up the phone! Ugh And by the time they would get settled into bed it would be too late to call... could someone PLEASE call and see if they can dig out more details of the status of this quilt... I too am very sad the "to be owner" of this does not have it!

I know Judy and will call her on Monday to see what the status is of this quilt. She will have to give it back to Susanna though, since that is who paid her and gave her the quilt. I will report here.

Alina... I had that phone magnet for a son too.... I even called my mom one day to apologize for every time I ever bugged her while she was on the phone.

Chriss... yes I have apologized many times to my Mom also... ugh! We have resorted to chatting in Yahoo Messenger since I can't get on the phone long enough to get more than a few sentences out... hopefully they won't catch on I am "talking" to anyone on the computer! They just think I am working on something! LOL

I have called and left messages for the LA quilter on this project and am waiting for her to call me back. I will post as soon as I hear from her.

I spoke with the LA quilter this morning. She finished the Delectable Mountains Quilt about a month ago and gave it back to Tulpje. She received the quilt top without batting. She supplied her own.

The second quilt was Sunbonnet Sue she thought. This was finished about a week ago and returned to Tulpje, she has not yet been paid for it. She donated backing fabric since Tulpje did not give it to her.

Both quilts were finished and returned to Tulpje.

The Sue one may have been it... Quilter7 (Carol) doesn't it sound like our quilt??? Well no backing would explain the "short" backing LOL but it would have been known when it arrived! Oh well I just pray this quilt gets to where it needs to get to and SOON!!!
