judyquilts,
may i suggest that you take down your address, since this is a public forum and you may not want your address public. Ask people interested to pm you for your address, that keeps it private.
What kind of pillowcases are you needing? Do you have a deadline or a specific date when they are sent? Is Blue Star Mothers a local group in your area?

kho, i remember Marcia saying October, also. Cannot remember where it was posted, though. I think she wanted to have them ready for Veteran's Day this year.

Maybe Marcia will enlighten us. carol/kittyquilt

Wow! You gals are really on top of things! (And your memories are sharp as a tack!)

Yes, I will again be sending out pillowcases to the injured soldiers. Presently I am looking at an October deadline so I can get them in the mail for Veteran's Day (or maybe an early Christmas)!

I have been stocking up on patriotic prints as well as some 'novelty' fabrics when I come across any good deals! I do have a few pillowcases sewn up and will be donating some to Judy. In the meantime, I will keep sewing up pillowcases between my 'bigger' projects because they are such fun to sew up ....and it is such a great cause!

Thanks for bumping this up to the top and reminding others to keep this project locked into their 'memory' system (or at least written on a sticky note)!!!! ;-) You QIAD forum members are the kindest and most giving folks! Hugs~Marcia

Yes, I am still planning to send pillowcases to our service men and women in time for Christmas, so am looking at a late October deadline. If you'd like to help out with this project, just PM me and I share my address with you.

do you want tags sewn inside with a little note? When I sent them to my nephew for him to give to friends I made little tags and put little poems or words of appreciation on them.
