You know, for most of my life, I always thought my maternal grandmother's name was Caroline. When we cleared out my mom's house in 2006, before her move to San Diego, we found Grandma's original birth certificate. She was named Carrie...not Caroline...wonder why she changed it?

Her middle name was Hortense...which she hated...big surprise...

I wear her wedding band stacked underneath my own.

Carolyn Jean...that's a pretty name, nice flow to it.

OOPS, I am being summoned to read bedtime stories!

Carole and Carolyn - I have you both beat on marrying late! We did not wed until I was 48! No children, of course.

I was looking at the catalogue when Carolyn was talking so now I am alone.

Thanks for posting about the 39 shops Carolyn. Boy we California girls could really have fun this summer couldn't we!

Hi Ladies,

I'm up for Long Beach. I will come down from SF for the weekend. Despite the fact that I just registered for Nashville that is just a few weeks after that. But oh well. Can't do enough quilt shows:)
