KHO, I am so sorry about the sadness in your community. It is such a terrible tragedy.

I've been trying to get Christmas decorations up all day so I could relax and sew tonight. Now I'm so tuckered out I probably won't be able to get much more done other than attaching a label to a lap quilt I finished earlier this week. At least I did carve out a few minutes right before dinner to play with my new Janome.

GP, I guess I can forgive your DH about the color choice of the van since he got you a new machine. :)

A LONG time ago my mother had surgery and needed a "dress" that was easy on/easy off. Well, I was using her machine, I too was looking really hard at what I was doing and it "thumped" me in the forehead. It got my attention really fast. I have NEVER done that again. I inherited that machine just three years later and it is the one I use today.

Thanks, Debbie, for saying that...boy did I feel stupid when that happened! It's all encased so I didn't even see it coming! LOL! I've been sitting up straight ever since that happened! LOL! I don't have the new machine yet, I'll lay odds he's going to make me promise to be good or something ridiculous like that! LOL!

Wow, some of you are having some really cold blustery weather, huh? It's hard to keep up with the posts! Caren, hope you and DH are feeling better! And yes, I just read about some of the tragedies that happened in your towns and I hugged my grandmonkey tighter than usual, so grateful I'm not in those poor parents shoes who have lost a child. Oh, how very blessed we are and it hurts to know others are struggling with such heartache and loss.

Hi Lee & Tul--

Yep, I am feeling better. So far, so good. It hasn't started again.....

GP, honey, you're not supposed to add fibers that are still attached to your head to your projects! If you wanted to add some of your hair, cut a little off from the back or something.

Every once in a while I get my fingers too close and get hit by the nut that holds the needle. I'm amazed that I haven't sewen my finger.
