Did I "hear" Carolyn say she wants to meet up at a quilt show in Long Beach in July? I need more info!! Have 2 birthdays that month to plan around, one my mom's and the other my daughter's so I can't miss them. I would gladly drive up from San Diego if I had a chance to meet up with some of you neat folks!

Carole

FOUND IT! www.quilts.com is the link if you haven't yet seen it in the other discussion. The dates are looking good....who wants to go?!

We went to Hometown Buffet...I was very good, had a big salad with minimal dressing, some fish, a bit of their creamed spinach casserole, and ONE small cookie.

Now sitting here feeling rather virtuous 0:-P (the 0 is my halo--lol!)

Yes I am another Carol. There are a lot of quilters named Carol. I think it is our age! (Or at least mine!) I think you are younger. Don't you have school age children?

CarolJ - You can download the catalogue. I got mine in the mail yesterday. I do want to meet up in Long Beach. I am so excited! For those of us unable to go to Paducha this is really something and it is the first time ever in Long Beach!

What classes is everyone thinking of taking in Long Beach?

Carol, yeah, my girls are nearly 11 and just-turned 9...but I got a late start, didn't even meet DH until I was 32!

My parents just wanted a name that was fairly simple and sounded good with my siblings' names. I'd have been Charles had I been a boy, and they discussed Charlotte for a girl, but liked Carole better...

Let me guess...your middle name is Ann...right? Almost all the Carols I have ever met have Ann as a middle name. I have met two Carol Maries and one Carol Ramona...but all the others are Carol Anns!

Hi everyone...back for a second...
yes I would love to meet up in Long Beach the weekend of 7/25-27. But there is also the So Cal quilt run the previous 2 weekends and since I found QIAD that way last year you bet my friend Betsy and I will be on the road again. Betsy lives in Lakewood, (which is adjacent to Long Beach) so I will drag her there too...

If you are in So Cal and are not familiar with the summer quilt run this year there are 39 stores on the run!
