MMQ, what happened with the bloody nose last night? If you've already told the story, Im sorry.

Ok, today was my family Christmas party at my DB's house. He's in the middle of Amish country. When we left we passed an Amish horse and buggy. Then we pulled into a gas station to fill up. the Amish man pulled in and parked his horse and buggy and went inside. Much to my dissillusionment, he came back out with a pizza and wings!

Cathy, does that clean kitchen include the floors? I hate floors... if it includes floors I will personally come get you and bring you home.

Marymargaret, at the craft fair I was at today there was someone knitting with yarn from an alpacha.... guess it's some kind of goat or something... the socks looked so warm but they were charging way too much so I will never know

Carole, my DH gave me the word.... no more turkey till Christmas... I cleaned out the fridge today and there will be no more turkey for a while, but your's sounds good..

Sharon, how old is that DGS?

Spudgrandma, I have always wanted to try to sew jammies, but am sure I would mess it up... I have never sewn using a pattern before, are they really easy? should I start with a gown or pj's?

My potatoes are a boiling and I am just checking in

Hi, ya'll! First off, boy have I missed ya'll a LOT! Feels like I haven't been able chat much lately! My granddaughter (the grandmonkey) is with DH and I tonight. They have plans to play games and read books to each other while I work on a few projects and chat. We're all in the same room with each other, so I can be with them, too. DH got his new minivan today with the DVD player in the back, so he's been driving the grandmonkey around the neighborhood so she can watch her cartoon movies in the van! LOL! Best of all, DH took my Bernina in to be serviced today and what I'd hoped would happen....DID! LOL! Yep, he saw the 730E machine and was thinking since he was getting the new van that maybe Santa would upgrade my Bernina!, and they offered him a good trade-in price on my machine! Yahoo! It's all I could do to keep myself from bouncing off the walls and howling at the moon when he asked if I "might like something like that"!!!! ROFLOL!!!

I'm going to make a Couch Caddy for a gift tonight. It goes over the arm of a recliner or sofa and holds everything from remote controls to books to quilting notions. I'm feeling awfully gabby tonight, so bear with me, but something funny happened early this a.m. I got up really early to finish a gift I was making for QIAD-Linda at last night's Sew-In. I'm not used to the machine I was using since my Bernina was gone. Long story short, I was concentrating on the applique stitches REALLY REALLY hard because I wanted it to be extra nice for Linda.....and got a little too intense with it and my hair got caught in the machine! Thought I was going to be ripped bald-headed!!! LOL! Don't exactly know how it happened, I'm nearsighted and was awfully close to my work, somehow some hair got in where the thing goes up and down and let me tell you....it got my attention QUICK!! Scared the devil out of me! Needless to say, that's why I'm working on a different project tonight and giving that one a rest! LOL! I have laughed about that stunt all day long. Leave it to me to do something like that!

Going to chat a minute and then start cutting out my Couch Caddy...and yes, I WILL NOT stick my head into the machine this time! ROFLOL!!!

Marilynsgrammy, an Alpaca is like a Lamia. They are from south America.

I AM sewing, but right now I'm hand sewing the binding to the back of a queen size quilt and watching the cute Christmas show from Radio City Music Hall! GP, your Grandmonkey would LOVE this show, I think!
I'll be with you all when the show's over!!

*smile*

*Hugs* all around.

Are all of you really in the mood for Christmas allready?
I have to wait for that at least untill after Dec. 5th (Dutch Sinterklaas)

((MM)) Are you feeling better?

CarolJ, your quilt top sounds too cute.

What's for dinner?

DH and I have laid low today. We watched some tv (recorded 'Womens murder club' episodes).

Chriss - that is so nice of you!! I wish I could do it. But instead I had leftovers! At least no time spent cooking.

Chriss that all depends on how BAD they are. LOL I did ours today & now you could eat off of them. LOL If only they would stay that way for awhile.

GO, that is not funny but it is about you getting your hair caught. LOL Tell Bill that the new machine has to be Hair sensitive with an automatic shut-off. LOL Congrats on the new one. You will enjoy it!
