Carin, What a find!!!! You are so very lucky. No one in my family has ever quilted. So I am so jealous of your treasure.

They didn't quilt either but they sewed clothes so some of the pieces are cut out for dresses or aprons but this piece (it was in 4 pieces) totaled about 8 yards so I have been able to use it as a boarder and focus fabric. I think its 40's

It is a little "bold" but I love it! I found a large poka-dot and a stripe with the same colors and I was able to pull a blue and a white out of my stash to have everything I needed to make a quilt. WOO HOO!

Oh, Mequilter, I'm so excited you are going to your first quilt show. Will there be vendors there? That's the part I love about quilt shows. I get inspired by the quilts but, oh, the fabric and goodies for sale is so much fun.

May, you were at the Houston Quilt Show? I was too and I met some of the forum members on Saturday. It was Cathy, SewSew and her DD, and Sunsup. Will you be there this November?

MAW........what a wonderful find. Sounds like it'll be lots of fun working with that. What pattern are you doing?

Hey, Cindy...........yes, there will be vendors there. Got a little extra $$ that I've stashed away.....I'm sure I'll be able to find a little something to bring home. lol

this is the pattern so every place the rose floral is is my 40's fabric.
