Redtop isn't that funny you only had just that little bit but because it doesn't inspire you you shut it away.

I am working on my hand piecing right now, doing my grandmothers flower garden blocks. I pick them up every now and then do a couple blocks when I have some time but can't be at the machine.

Re: Sunday ~ March 2 Sew-In
I wish I was doing quilty things. Yesterday I had my hairs cut then had to go out of town for a baby shower. Got home at 5:30 and DH and I commenced to work on the hard wood floor we are putting down. We just have to caulk the quarter round in my sewing room and it will be finished and I can move back in. That will probably happen tomorrow evening. We are almost finished putting the quarter round in the hall and then we will be laying the wood floor in the guest bedroom. I think it looks great even if we did do it our selves. I know one thing - I'm getting too old and fat to be doing this kind of thing anymore. I'll be VERY glad to get back to my quilting. I have to finish marking one of the twins quilts and I'll be ready to quilt it. I'd better go see if I'm needed. Just wanted to say "hi" to y'all and check in.

Is anyone doing the BOM Baltimore Blue on the Fat Cat site? I thought I would make it--I thought I would have a hole month to do one square. Thinking that it would be plenty of time to complete each square, I cut out the fist square. Here it is, the third month and I have just started the first one. Why is it I want to make everything I see and wind up having upteem UFO'S that never are completed. Do you have the same problem??

Re: Sunday ~ March 2 Sew-In
I have a few I haven't finished, but I get tired of the space it takes up and I feel so accomplished to actually FINISH something!!! My favorite trick was learning to take all my quilts to the quilters, I love piecing the top, but hate basting and quilting the darn things. I took my king size to her and she did so much better than I ever immagined. I've taken them all to her in the last year and a half and love them all so much more! This helped me get quite a bit done. I just use birthday and Christmas money, and frankly hobbies cost money so I figure, oh well and just spend it. Even this ugly quilt will go to her, because maybe after that it won't be so ugly anymore...

Re: Sunday ~ March 2 Sew-In
just got back from Hollywood and although it was fun I kept thinking about all the project that I want to be doing. Hopefully I can get to my desktop computer and do a project that I want for the "Sues" tonight. I am going through withdrawal not having access to my sewing machine. At least when our exchange student leaves I can sew. Julia wants to make bags for her sorority sisters so she will pull her machine out and start working this week...bet I end up offering to help her. she will be taking them back at the end of her spring break
