SewCarolyn...Elon started recruiting my twin daughters when they were in 10th grade. The both were all state soccer players and ended up being all americans in college. I think it has changed now but their mascot used to look like a mad quaker oatmeal guy and they were called "The Fightin' Christians".
My girls used to giggle every time they got a letter from them but it is supposed to be a pretty good school.

I don't know who the mascot is at Elon but they have really been recruiting from CA. My girls went to a small performing arts HS with really high academic scores. In 06 they sent 2 students there and last year 2 more went to Elon. There were only 200 in their graduating class so that is a high percentage to a small out of state school

Sue-they have domestic geese on campus at Guilford...they try to get into the buildings and J said there was residue all over

True, some of our smaller colleges are recruting really strong. DS 3 has been approached by 2 schools for Ag, not sure he is going to go. May prayers guide him.

That is funny! I wouldn't want to go to a school I had to fight geese to get to class either.
