Jennie, Just got off the phone w/Mom. She says that they've gotten a little more than you 6-8", but more on the way. She said to keep the cold out here, I said, Uh-nah, no way!

Yeah, I'm a bird lady - or bird "nut" my kids say. The Whooping Cranes are raised in WI, believing that the Ultralite planes are their parents. They are now on migration to FL, and have been in our county for the past 8 days (because the weather hasn't been right for flying). They had hoped to move on this morning and I went to a 'flyover' spot at 6:30 this morning hoping to see them. The temperature and the winds were right, but the ceiling was too low for them to safely get over the mountain (the highest point on their journey), so it was a 'no go'. Supposed to have rain tomorrow and possibly snow on Sunday, so I don't know WHEN they'll get to fly. If it isn't raining in the morning I am going to go again and keep my fingers crossed!

This is so COMPLETELY off topic - I apologize. Just get carried away with the birds!!

Ann, my folks have loons on their lake. It's fun to watch them dive and guess where they are going to come up!

I actually did work on DH quilt this evening. I straightened up my edges & cut strips to do a scrappy border. Then the dogs were going nuts wanting dinner so I figured I'd better get it & start ours too

Hi Everybody

Looks like the sew in is in full swing here tonite. I just got home from work a little later than I expected because as I turned the corner near my house I slid into the ditch and had to have some neighbors come and rescue me!! Fortunately I was very close to home.

Came home and got my sweats on, opened the mail and grabbed a cup off coffee.. Tummy is grumbling so I should probably go think of something for supper... And then try to line up my projects for the weekend. I have a HUGE list of stuff I WANT to do and a huger list of things I SHOULD do!!!

What do you do when you have so many things to do and you just don't know where to start! That will be tomorrow, running around like a chicken.

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to pop in and say hey! I'm at my DS's house watching the DGKs. I did bring my sewing machine and projects along with me but I'm just too pooped to pop tonight! So hopefully tomorrow I'll try and finish a couple of UFOs. Hope everyone gets lots of things done tonight!!
