I needed to run out to one of the LQS to get the pattern and material for this month's table runner class. DH was doing a tour of solar homes and asked if I'd wait and he'd go with me. OK, whatever. As we approached the shop he realized where we were. He thought I was going to another shop that is close to an Amish buffet and he had plans for a late lunch/early dinner.
So, we drove over there, ate, and I went to that QS there, too. A trip that should have taken less than an hour took almost 5. But, he was a lovely day and we drove thru a lot of country and farm land so it wasn't a total waste.
Am now putting some loose patterns in sleeves and into a notebook.

Hi, ya'll! 6Kids, happy birthday! Oh my gosh, snow already!

Tulpje, hope you start feeling better soon, sweetie!

mequilter, try not to be nervous about the auction, Cyber-Sue is right, you know. Everyone there is going to be so impressed with your gorgeous quilt and I'm sure they're going to want to meet the talented artist who made it. It's your night to shine, girlfriend! Everyone will be in awe of you and love you, just like we do here!

Well, we got to the cabin around noon today. Would've got here sooner but I couldn't find the cord and foot pedal for my sewing machine! LOL! The leaves are starting to turn and it's real pretty up here, and the air is crisp, feels like fall and was such a gorgeous day! DH, DS and I were driving into town to go to the grocery and I saw a man beside the road selling a litter of little Dauchsund puppies! I saw his sign and announced what I'd seen....boy, DH snapped his head around real quick and said, "you want one, I'll sure get you one of them!" I had to laugh because HE'S the one who's really really been wanting a puppy, doesn't care what kind. On the way back from the grocery the truck was gone. We've got to get Daisy's fence put up at home before we get a pup.

I'm working on a paper-backed Maple Leaf applique project. It's real simple and I liked it in the magazine. I'm using batiks and using a copper metallic thread to stitch around the leaves. Been having to take breaks every few minutes because of my back, so it's going slow, but I'm having a lot of fun. We have a fire in the fireplace going and the guys are grilling. It's quite a bit colder up here than it is closer to Atlanta.

Back from supper with the in-laws. She loved her present....green & gold tote....she's a Packers fan. Pam....our town is being invaded with the Falcons team. Good thing I'll be at the game tomorrow, I can use my "yankee cheesehead" charm on them. lol We're having a girls day, starting out at 8:30 am and we have two tailgating parties to hit before the game starts. My BFF of 40 years will be coming here for the game, I can't wait to see her. She only lives one hour away but it's so hard to get together. My daughter was devastated when she found out that "Auntie Cindy" really wasn't her aunt, but we couldn't be closer if we were sisters. And, tonight my SIL said that she'll come to the auction with me........yippee!! (Although I think she's only coming with to sample the wine and chocolate!) It should be a fun time & I will picture all of the "rich" with their underwear on. It would be fantastic if one of the players could be there.....I know they're working on that.

Mequilter, LOL! Girlfriend, we're going to get our butts handed to us at that game! We know it, the American people know it...bless the Falcon's hearts...they're gonna get "cheesed"! LOL!

Pam...........I wouldn't bet on the Falcons getting cheesed. Some of our major players are out for the game & some for the season. We're still not sure if our regular QB will start or not, won't know till the game starts. It would be nice for them to win, but it should be a gorgeous fall day for the game. The temp at game time should be about 55 & sunshine, perfect sweatshirt weather!! I love this time of year.
