Hi all! I'm going to be working on a tote for my SIL....her birthday was last week, but we'll be celebrating Sunday night. I should have enough time to get it done (crossing my fingers). It'll go together fast but I need to get my fat a** into the sewing room to actually work on it. It's supposed to storm tonight & into the morning, think I'll camp out on the couch tonight to keep an eye on things. All of the hanging baskets are safely in, I've spent too much time and $$ on them to redo them this year. Why'd somebody have to mention ice cream? That sounds really good right now.

Oh hey, speaking of peaches....I'm going back to the orchard tomorrow....waaaaa-hoooooo! I went there last weekend and got some for eating and took a pic of a giant peach they have on their sign. But, the ones I want for making peach jam and freezing weren't ready last weekend. But....they are now!!!! WHeeeeeee!

Me, I am not jet lagged at all. I have learned the routine:) The day of the flight I get up by at least 5:30 am. This time I spent several hours during the morning of departure day running around in the heat in Textile Town. The flight leaves Tokyo at 4pm. I read for the first hour to make me sleepy then dinner is served and after they clear the trays they turn the lights out. Today I slept until they turned the lights back on and were beginning to serve breakfast. So basically, I slept through the San Francisco night. I got home by 11, took a shower and went to my LQS which is going out of business - everything is 50% off. I'm going to start cutting a new tote and an Amy Butler quilt tonight. So I'm here. Let's party.LOL

By the way, my new toy came while I was away. I had bought it on eBay before I left. I don't know anything about featherweights so now I have to learn. It's in like new condition. Not a scratch or nick on it. The owner's daughter said she used it twice and it's been in the family ever since.

Hi Rosie and Mary Ellen! Hope those storms aren't bad. We've had rain and pop-up thunderstorms all week, but nothing scary, thank goodness.

Littlebit, I finally broke down and bit the bullet and ordered some gadgets for the HQ. Templates and stuff like that. Those suckers are expensive...I hated to squander my cotton money on it! LOL!

Michelle do you drink southern Comfort while you make the quilt? It could make for some interesting combonations

Michelle I am not the greatest fly-er so I sit board straight clenching the armrests the whole flight. I would never make it to or from Tokyo.

Pam think of it as money spent to enhance your cotton
