Hi I am here for a second and then off to a Girl Scout Volunteer recognition Dinner. My Girl Scout Sue is up for auction. I haven't see her since my friend made her into a pillow so I need to get there early to take photos. The dinner is at the Disneyland Hotel and one of my good friends is receiving a great award, so it will be fun!

Hello everybody! DH and girls are watching telly, Ma is in bed with a headache...I was going to sew tonight but had some whiskey with dinner so maybe that's not such a good idea. I do have a UFO I have been wanting to drag out, a rail fence waiting for borders. Haven't looked at it in a long time; the border fabric is tucked away with the top.

I told Ma she will need to decide on colors and a pattern for her quilt. She was surprised that I want to make one for her...of course I do! She keeps commenting on the fall blocks quilt, how she loves the colors, so maybe she will want fall colors--? I will try to steer her to a relatively easy pattern so I can get it done and on her bed promptly. I did a Tossed Nine Patch last fall and it was really pretty.

Mequilter, we are heading out to do the "final" inspection on some property tomorrow...we may close escrow on Wednesday! Can't believe it! We've been searching for a suitable home for our extended family for just over a year.

Carole........how exciting for you!! I hope everything works out wonderfully for this new project. I'm going to try to keep busy this weekend so I don't pout too much about being here and not in Paducah. I'm sure they'll all have such a wonderful time & so much fun. Wouldn't it be fun to have a secret camera in the fabric tent to spy on them?

It's going to be a real frenzy, I'm sure...I can hear the bank accounts screaming in agony from all the way out here in California! lol

And thanks!! for the good wishes! It's still hard to believe this really could be *IT* with regards to a new home...

Once the kids are in bed, I am going to stay up to watch my new DVD of the original "Semi Tough"; DH bought it for me. It is bawdy and crude and always makes me laugh out loud. So much crazy stuff, reading and signing papers, making decisions about construction and flooring and finances...I need some laughs!

Going to work on Dad's quilt top tonight. Only have the boarders to put on. Since there are four daughters in my family, I am making him a "Four Sisters" quilt out of the Still Stripping book. I am using Wine themed fabric as we grew up most of our years in the Napa Valley which for those who do not know is the wine capital of the world pretty much.
