Susanna do you wear socks? I am getting to the point anymore I cannot stand to go without them here in the house.

Nope Cathy. I'll go upstairs and put some socks on. <grin> I'll lay them close to the fire place before I put them on.

Ok, here's the instructions for the pillowcases:
Cut your main pillowcase fabric 27" X width of fabric
Cut pillowcase coordinating band 10" X width of fabric
Cut your folded border highlight strip 3" X width of fabric
1. Lay out 10" band fabric, right side up.
2. Next, lay 27" main fabric right side up on band, matching raw edges at top.
3. Fold your 3" highlight strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together and press.
4. Lay highlight strip on top of pillowcase main fabric, matching all raw edges.
5. Here is teh tricky part -- roll the pillowcase main fabric (27" piece) up toward the top raw edges. Roll if far enough to clear the 10" band fabric.
6. Fold the 10" band fabric over the 27" Main Pillowcase FAbric and match all raw edges.
7. Pin across rop raw edges, through all layers. Make sure you only pin the top edge of the rolled 27" fabric.
8. Sew across top raw edges.
9. Pull the rolled 27" Main Pillowcase fabric through on eo fthe sides and your pillowcase layers are all sewn together in one stitch line!
10. Stitch bottom and side together to finish your pillowcase.
If you want to make a french seam, fold pillowcase with WRONG sides together. Stitch bottom and side with a scant 1/4". Trim to 1/8". Turn pillowcase right sides together and stitch bottom and side.
11. Give yourself a pat on the back. YOU DID IT!!!

None of my birds talk.
I like song birds a lot too. Raised canaries up till last year. I love to listen to their song in the room next to my sewing room.
So far Leo has not said a word yet, just whistles.
