I have only taken quilting classes from QU, so I am really looking forward to Long Beach. Most of the LQS do not have classes on hand quilting so this will be interesting.

Carol I would love to learn hand quilting I know Lori hand quilts quite a bit.

My first quilt was hand quilted and since then I have done two others. The last two were not as intricate as the first one. I learned a lot last year doing the hand quilting for the second and third ones though.

oh we have to make a trip together...I was there today. There is an evergrowing section of nice quilting fabrics for between 6-8 a yd but there is also a section of fabric from "last year" that is @.99-3.99 a yard. Today I picked up some great Kauffman fabric to make John a couple of sleep shirts for $2.99 a yd and some Christmas Fabric by Michael Miller for $2.99 a yard. It is always filled with quilters. there is also cheap fabric that I use for costumes.

It is about 10 min from me

oh Carin would love it...maybe we do need to schedule a trip there since going to the LA fabric district is too far
