Elegant Cherry Dessert
Mix together and pat into 9" x 13" pan:
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Let cool.
Prepare 1 package Dream Whip according to directions on package.
Beat together:
1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
Combine this with the Dream Whip.
Cover baked layer with this mixture.
Spread 1 or 2 cans prepared Cherry Pie Filling over second layer.
Chill several hours before serving.
(If you prepare the Dream Whip first, you won't have to wash the beaters until finished.)
This probably has about a million calories, but it is SO GOOD! Our choir is not invited to the lunch - we're just preparing it, so I am spared from the temptation!

oh my, dessert, sounds good. I was going to hold out for the popcorn but I think I will have to get something else, maybe some candy for now.

I'm making a Split Nine Patch for the bed in our trailer. I used ALL scraps. It's ready to quilt, but I'm procrastinating. Like to have it done for our trip to Paducah!!
