Re: Oncology Support Group
Mary, I am sure that the ladies in my group would love to have your donations. We make quilts 48X48 inches square, any design you would like, often we make scrap quilts since we never know what we will be getting. Quilt tops will be fine and easier for you to send, when we meet we make our "quilt sandwiches" and volunteers take them home to quilt or tie.
thank you Mary for your generous offer.

Re: Oncology Support Group
Just an added note: If anyone would like to help out with donations we need fabric yardage large enough for quilt backs. It can be 36 to 45 inches wide and what we do is add strips to make it wide enough. I thank the wonderful ladies that have contacted me with their offers of help, we have a great group of angels in this forum.

My sister had the stint placed today. She feels really sick. I have made two tops today and will make more as I can. I just need to know where to send them as well as backing. Lori

SewSew, do you or your group make the caps and booties? If so, where do you get the patterns? The caps sound like a great idea, but haven't heard of making one. thanks, carol/kittyquilt

Re: Oncology Support Group
sorry, ladies, I had not checked in on the forum for a couple of days and had not seen your messages.
Lori, I am sending you a pm
Carol, I do not know where the pattern came from for the hats. One of the ladies cuts them out for us and brings them in for us to sew together. I will check and see if there is a pattern available next time we meet. The booties are crochet by one of the ladies.
I want to thank Lori, zfatcat, for the wonderful donation of fabrics that she sent.
You are all so very kind. God Bless you all.

Ann, I know it has probably been so hectic (it is around here anyway)! I didn't receive an address. I have 5 yards of burgundy 108" wide fabric for backing as well as two tops I would like to send. Thanks! Lori

IF there are any knitters/crocheters out there that would like some yarn... let me know... I have about 6 tote boxes full I'd be happy to send someone who wants to knit Chemo Caps. There are tons of patterns on the internet and I'm sure I have some in my pattern stash as well!

Re: Oncology Support Group
My husband just recently passed away with cancer. He too was cold. I belong to a gardening club online and 2 of the wonderful ladies on there sent him lap warmers, one a quilt and one crocheted. He was very proud of them and Yes, he did use them! Even though the cancer center had blankets there to use when you were getting your chemo he liked to use his blankets to show off that someone he didn't even know sent him those! LOL! Would you e-mail me your address and I'll send a little money for your group to use for backings or whatever. I'd rather send money to save the cost of postage and you can get what you need. Thank you ladies for your generous support of cancer patients! ~Abbigail~

Ann; What is the name of the church and town you and your group is working at. I have some fabric I can bring over but it will have to be after February. Carol may
