Hey Susanna, sure hope you are feeling much better. I do the front of the binding on by machine, the turn and hand stitch the back down. I find the hand stitching very relaxing. But I haven't gotten there yet today. Had a late lunch after church and then took a nap. Boy....was that nice.

I have the YBR pattern...one day I will get to it! I go next weekend to the store Mary Jo's in Gastonia, NC. I want some indigos for an Irish Chain.

Those tote bags everyone are making are adorable...sure wish I knew how to sew those types of things.

Carin, have fun being waited on after tomorrow. Be careful and rest that throat too! Will definitely keep you in prayers.

Prayers for vagrandma too.
Have a nice evening y'all.

Hugs and Blessings,
Susan

Looks to be kind of quiet in here tonite. Everybody must be outside enjoying that last of the holiday weekend.

Got back from the cabin today about noon or so and spent a while unpacking the car and getting all my stuff put away. Had taken my machine with me and gotten a couple projects started up there (see pics in PHOTO section under "sewing at the cabin" )

After a brief nap, actually I think I accidentally fell on my bed and ended up falling asleep, I got up and put the machine back together and sewed a pillowcase. I do so love making them! Made it from fabric to match the quilt I'm making for my neice. Started laundry and ironed a few things for the work week ahead. Had intended to mow the lawn, but it's just too darn hot here and without any rain the only thing growing in my yard right now is weeds!

Have been kind of surfing around all the topics this afternoon, trying to catch up with y'all. There are sure a lot of swaps going on! Can't wait to get my partner for the Tote Bag Swap and the Summer Secret Pal Swap!! Got me thinking about Secret Santa for this year. Am looking forward to hosting that again, but will wait a little while before I post the details etc for that one. Gotta make sure I get myself really organized!!! It was such fun last year I hope a lot of you will keep it in mind. Probably closer to the first of September I'll post a note. Gotta get through all the summer projects first!!

Well, time to go rummage around the kitchen to see what I can find for dinner!

Have a great week ahead every one!

Hey y'all...I am home from work and already in jammies, all comfy here at the computer. DH has gone to pick up pizzas and the girls are watching the 4th "Harry Potter" movie on TV. I am assuming we will be eating in the living room--! They have been looking forward to this all day.

*BUSY* weekend at work; yesterday was so bad I came home and fell asleep on the couch at 4:30, slept for an hour, got up and ate dinner, then fell asleep again until around seven--! Got the kids to bed and was in bed myself by ten.

I'm going to go watch the movie and wait for dinner to arrive...!

Well I've been mostly goofing off all day doing laundry for my trip. I am NOT overpacking this time!!! And now I'm working on a cool Amy Butler luggage tag for my bag:)
