Hello Ann,
Goodness, you must be bored to tears with NOTHING to do today. If you get the chance don't forget pictures.
You California girls are up and moving! Hope you all get something fun done while staying cool.
Fabricgirl, I don't envy you your trip...that would be torture for me, unless a quilt store was on the way and back!
Hugs,
Susan

Man you guys are up early!!!! I actually slept in til 9 this morning--which is so RARE for me! But I've got my coffee and am looking at my TO DO list for the day, trying to decide where to start.
It's absolutely gorgeous in MN this morning. Temps will get up to perhaps 80 today. The biggest decision to make this morning is whether to go outside and do some yard work or stay in and clean up messes inside.
Later on this afternoon I'm headed over to my sister's for my neices Grad Party--and to help clean up at the end. Maybe when I get home I'll head down to the sewing room. I really hate to spend such a beautiful day inside cleaning.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
And Sewsew, if you get bored, come on up!!!

Howdy... from a toasty San Marcos... the AC is already on YUK! Hope to get some sewing in today... we have a lot of packing to do before our move in a couple weeks and it is not easy to do with to overactive little guys running around! Especially trying to get there toys packed... Jake understands but Kyle seems to think the toys are going away forever... poor little guy... needless to say we spend a lot of time distracting him away from what's going in the boxes!!! I'll peek in on you guys a little later!
Cheers!

Oasis, yes, it is indeed my white on white quilt. I will use at least one of the building details, if not two, on it
Just added the first border, but will need one or two more, and have to piece the second one since I don't have enough fabric left to just make it a wide white-white border. But, very soon I'll have to decide on the trapunto design...
Hope your swap blocks are progressing!
And, to all of you who have too hot weather, please send some of it over here, LOL! The temperature is just below 60, which is a bit cold for my taste, at least since it is supposed to be in the middle of the summer...

Hi Everyone
SewSew - You are sure working under more pressure than I like to work under. I hope you have it finished by now or close to it.
Apolto - It is supposed to get cooler in a few days so at least you won't be packing in all this heat.
It is almost noon here and it is 85 degrees and 80 in the house. The only A/C is in the sewing room. I guess I should turn it on and just stay in here. LOL

Could someone tell me whether the Tossed Nine Patch is in one of El's books and which one? I really like the quilt.

Quilter7,
I scanned my books and didn't see the pattern for the Tossed Nine Patch. But here is a link for the pattern here at QIAD.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone, it's unusually hot in San Francisco and no one has air conditioning. Last night I managed to sleep until 2am and then came downstairs to hit the sofa for the rest of the night. My sewing room is being baked by the sun on the front of the house right now so it's not a good place to be. We're heading out to a mall (any mall will do today) and then will probably catch a movie in air conditioned comfort. I never usually say this but I can hardly wait for work on Monday:) LOL
