Just finished supper, so I'll be down here for awhile. No storms yet, although they're predicting some strong ones for tonight. I've got a flashlight closeby & hopefully they'll be wrong. I didn't get anything accomplished this afternoon but had a wonderful nap.

Good evening all,

Just taking a little break from "Unsewing". I get so frustrated I have to walk away.
I really wanted Big Brown to win, too. I just finished an article where the jockey said he just ran out of energy. But, he is a beautiful, talented horse and the owners should make a small fortune in stud fees.
DH went back to work today, for the first time since we came back from vacation. I'm glad. Too much of this togetherness stuff can really get nerveracking.:) I love him dearly, but...
Well, I;ll go try again.
Have a great evening, all.
Rosie

P.S. Do some of you really get ready for bed this early? I'd go nuts if I tried to sleep now. I doesn't matter what time I get up in the morning, I tend to be awake until at least 1:00.

Hi Rosie, nope I would not be able to go to bed early now A days. But, then again...I am on night meds which makes me stick to certain bed times most of the time. I try to go to bed after 10pm and before midnight. I'm still bothered some nights by night terrors, but the Lunesta helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. (As far as I know LOL because this meds also gives me short term memmory loss so that I don't remember these night terrors so sharply)

I worked as hospice nurse, and I have worked nights shift, most of them 12 hours, for about 20 years. When I did that I had NO problem what so ever to sleep during the day time. I Loved coming home while other people were trying to wake up and had to rush getting to work.

I finnished my 4 dimentiona windmill blocks that are going to be set on pint for a table runner. I was just taking a break to eat something for dinner. I flipped through the tv channels and a Billy Graham program was on which I Love to watch. My son had the honor to have worked with Franklin Graham in his children prgrams 'Psalty' years ago. they went on tour once a month. These tours made a BIG impression on my son Bjorn. He has seen, been and worked for many families. From well known Christians to movie Stars and well known authors. His time with the Graham family has been by far the best and most inspirational one. They are a true Christian family.

So, I'll be in between sewing and watching/listening to this billy graham program.

I hope all of you are having as pleasant of a Saturday evening as I am having.

Hey Tul, When you get to see HSMary, give her a hug from me. When I start thinking about different types of quilts her baby quilt comes to mind. She may not have any quilting friends there, but she sure has great quilting ideas!!

Hello Gals

It's actually bed time, but I thought I'd sneak in and see what everybody was up to tonite. I haven't done any sewing at all today, but hope to get a little done tomorrow. DD and I just hung around the house most of the morning and then finally got showered and dressed and went over to DS's & DIL's to see my grandbabies. Came home and got my Christmas noodles cut so Jen could help me bag them up. Tomorrow Jen may go visiting some friends and after I finish laundry, and mowing my lawn, I may sneak in a little time at the sewing machine. Jen helped me get my baby quilt pinned so I hope to quilt that tomorrow and get the binding on.

The sun finally came out today and it was a beautiful day--hope it holds at least until I get the lawn mowed!

Have a great Sunday every one

Nitey Nite

Well, Good Night, Ladies -- seems to have been a pretty quiet sew-in day. I didn't finish my Country Flag Wall Hanging -- but I did get lots of flowers planted in pots -- just a little more than half done with the flowers, hopefully I'll be done Monday.

Disappointing race for Big Brown today, but Congratulations to Da'Tara for the unexpected win! sure wish I had had some money down on him!

No Sewing for me tomorrow (Sunday)-- I'll be riding my little Lady about 30 miles, in the Sierra Nevada's tomorrow. Will take us about 6 to 7 hours, if all goes well. Throw in the grooming, tacking up, hauling to the mountains we're talking about approximately 10 grueling hours! So, ya'll have a great Sunday Sew-in and see you Monday!! Happy Trails, jacquie
